Brother Jack Sheffield has Passed away.
The Funeral was held on Sunday April 23, 2012
Brother Jack was laid to rest at a beautiful spot under a giant live oak,
with a blue sky and cool breeze blowing, causing the many wind chimes hanging from the trees
to sing their songs, as Jack was surrounded by his large family and many friends.
Per Masonic Tradition, this announcement will remain posted for the next month.
Please remember that brother Jack had requested
that no one spend money on flowers or other gifts, but instead honor him

Attention GCM Member lodges/websites....
Because we have not received Your $25 yearly membership dues, we have shutdown several lodges/organizations websites, and we have NOT renewed your domain names (which means anybody can now grab them)
Some lodges DID contact us and let us know they did not wish to renew (and we thank them for that)

We feel terrible that these lodges have decided not to renew their websites,
but we here at gulfcoastmasons.com can no longer carry lodges by paying for the expenses out of our own pocket
(which we have done in the past)
And while we also volunteer our time to manage the website system, Our Bank account is rarely above $100 and we can barely cover our own costs.

We rarely have more than $100 in our organizations bank account, and the services we charge $25 a year for (website and domain name), easily would cost our lodges over $1,000 from another non-masonic source.
We will use the little resources we have now to keep our websites going, make donations to widows in need and more.
But I cannot continue to dip into my own pocket to keep our work going.
With my co-founder, Bro. Sheffield now passed on, the entire organization has now become my responsibility and I will work to keep things going and improving. (We have enough funds now for the coming year.)
But I do ask our brothers to consider becoming a financial partner by letting us host a site for your lodge, or running an ad for yourself or your business.
A banner ad on the main GulfCoastMasons.com page is $100 per year (I will design it for free)
If you have not had a site with us, I can custom design a webpage for your lodge for a basic fee of $100 (including registering a domain name for a year and hosting your site with updates as you need them). If you did have a site with us, and it was removed for whatever reason, I will be glad to reinstall it for you for $75 and then it will cost your lodge only $25 a year after that for the domain name and hosting space.
The small amount of money left in our account at the end of the year is used to make contributions to recent widows, purchase the mason of the year award we give out each year, and make a contribution to a masonic based charity.

While you are more than welcome to visit and attend work at our area lodges, please remember that prior to being admitted to an area lodge room, you WILL be required to present a current F&AM membership card and you will be tried at the door to prove you are an F&AM Master Mason.
Brothers from other nations will be required to show a letter from their lodges secretary with the lodge seal.
